Lincoln County Historical Association Receives Conservation Bookshelf

(Lincolnton, NC) – Treasured objects and artifacts held by the Lincoln County Historical Association will be preserved for future generations with help from the IMLS Connecting to Collections Bookshelf, a core set of conservation books, DVDs, and online resources donated by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), the primary source of federal funding of the nation’s museums and libraries.

The LCHA receives a grant from the Marion Stedman Covington Foundation
June 16, 2007

Lincolnton – The Lincoln County Historical Association has been awarded a $10,000 grant by the Marion Stedman Covington Foundation of Greensboro, North Carolina. The grant will support a Conditions Assessment and Feasibility Study by Don Yelverton Architects of Charlotte, North Carolina of the Eureka Manufacturing
Company Cotton Mill in Lincolnton.

The LCHA awarded a grant by the Lincoln County Community Foundation
May 22, 2007

Lincolnton– The Lincoln County Historical Association has been
awarded an $800 grant by the Lincoln County Community Foundation. The seed money will support the Recalling Memories for Posterity seminar with Margaret Bigger. The Association will host the seminar on Saturday, June 16, 2007, from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm at the Lincoln Cultural Center in Lincolnton.

The LCHA Receives A National Trust Grant
April 4, 2007

Lincolnton - The Lincoln County Historical Association has been awarded a $1,500 grant from the National Trust for Historic Preservation to conduct a Conditions Assessment of the Eureka Manufacturing Company Cotton Mill in Lincolnton.

Historic Mill Building Donated to the LCHA

March 30, 2006

Lincolnton - During December 2005, the families of J. Walter Lineberger and Robert H. Lineberger donated to the Lincoln County Historical Association the old Eureka Manufacturing Company Cotton Mill in Lincolnton for preservation and restoration.
